Boston Massacre Time Line Flag
Write “Boston Massacre” under the fourth domino of you Cause-and-Effect Title Page.
· Use the “clue words” or sequence words that indicate the order in which things occur: first, next, then, and finally, to tell the sequence of events of the Boston Massacre leading up to the death of five colonists. For example: First, Great Britain sent troops to the colonies to make sure the colonists paid taxes. This angered the colonists. Next, a crowd of angry colonists in Boston gathered around one lone British soldier and jeered at him. They threw snowballs with rocks in them. Then, more British soldiers arrived and the crowd grew larger. Finally, someone yelled “Fire!” and the soldiers shot their guns. Five colonists were killed.
